Lunch Vesnić.2 Crown Prince [Alexander] present, arrived half an hour late owing to absurdity of 1st Secr[etary’]s3 who tried to encipher a telegram and then lost the way.
Had conversation with the C[rown]P[rince]. He was most cordial. Afterwards he played auction bridge, and lost most of the time as I did. Unfortunately I played with him. He was not a very good, but a very amiable, player, his manner unassuming and delightful as always, a little shy, I noticed.
