ABSTRACT
Among the umpteen things robots struggle to do are climb stairs and show empathy. CoBot, developed at Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute, deals with the stairs issue by waiting by the lift and begging passers-by to press the button for the floor it needs. 1
