ABSTRACT

In this book, we will focus on the parts of mixed-method research that are sometimes excluded from the common defi nition. We will focus on qualitative methods in a variety of mixed-method designs: one qualitative method “dominant,” with a second, different qualitative strategy, or alternatively with a quantitative strategy, or even more uncommonly, with a string of qualitative or quantitative strategies conducted at the same time or following the core qualitative project, solving a puzzle and addressing a single research aim.
