ABSTRACT
The copper objects of Lower Egypt appear to be part of the Near Eastern complex, at least in terms of depositional contexts (Fig. 7.11). There seem to be similarities with the Chalcolithic of the southern Levant with an emphasis on settlement contexts. However, it should be noted that chronologically they are slightly later than the objects already cited above, and as already mentioned, relatively few settlement sites are known in the Predynastic period in general.
