ABSTRACT
It has been a strength of patriarchy in all its historic forms to assimilate itself so perfectly to socioeconomic, political, and cultural structures as to be virtually invisible. Now that it is no longer hidden from view, ours may be an historical moment when those relations are in sufficient conflict for us not only to ‘see’ how the patriarchal system works, but also to act with that vision so as to put an end to it.
