Barbara Jackson points out that the project closeout period can be one of stress and anxiety as both the project management team and the contractor sprint to the finish line-often a grand opening or deadline set far in advance for use or occupancy. As Jackson notes, “[t]he school buses will be arriving with children whether the contractor is ready or not.”1
