ABSTRACT

Our country does everything necessary to give all children a happy childhood. The state helps parents to raise a happy, healthy child. But how can one bring happiness to those who have suffered the misfortune of losing their parents? The death of near ones is more than mental anguish – it is also the loss of those who cared for the child. [Children] must not feel that they are orphans. They must not only be provided for in a material sense. They must also be given everything that is necessary for their spiritual/mental development. They must be surrounded with care and attention. The word orphan used to evoke the grimmest associations: homelessness, poverty, lack of care. In our society, this word has lost its former meaning.
