ABSTRACT
Significant changes in the workplace have resulted in new challenges with regard to health and safety in the twenty-first century. Psychological workplace risks, meaning workplace factors that can cause stress, such as bullying and harassment, have increasingly become generally acknowledged as global issues, affecting all countries, professions, and workers. There is growing recognition that the psychological risks inherent in the workplace must be recognized as serious occupational hazards and assessed and prevented as physical ones have been for years.
