The ability to reconcile sales is a critical function of a POS system. Terminals collect, consolidate, and report information on tender types: • Cash • Check • Credit/debit card • Gift card/certificate
This allows cashiers to reconcile their cash to the reports when they prepare deposits. Staff members operating the terminal(s) may have their own cash drawers, and the system is capable of tracking sales by operator number. You can hold each accountable for discrepancies.
