ABSTRACT
In this chapter, educators’ responses to a questionnaire shed light on a number of issues on the purposes of educating Latino youth. In particular, responses to this questionnaire revealed beliefs about who should teach Latino studies and about the constraints Latino youths face in achieving educational equality. Success for Latinos was expressed as being derived from many sources and given many definitions. This chapter provides a basis for comparing the views of educators with the views of students.
