ABSTRACT
The history of the learning community program at SUNY Buffalo State College is continuing to evolve. The program ebbed and flowed as a result of personnel changes and trial and error. This chapter presents an overview of the program; the chapter does not intend to include an exhaustive chronology of the development of learning communities at SUNY Buffalo State; rather it is our intention to highlight particular years and accomplishments. The overview is based on reflections of two current learning community faculty and two previous key administrators.
