ABSTRACT
I am challenging the following colleges and universities—Brown University, Yale University, NYU, the Juilliard School, Florida State University, the University of Minnesota, the University of Iowa, the University of Texas, the University of Washington, University of California—Berkeley, Stanford University, and California Institute of the Arts—to come together and form a consortium dedicated to identifying and developing disabled theatre artists with the goal of creating a new generation of leaders of the American theatre. As some of the colleges and 121universities with the largest endowments in the country will be involved in this project, it is not a question of finances. It is a question of desire and value.
