ABSTRACT
A trivariate percentage table shows the relationship between two variables (an independent and a dependent variable) while controlling for a third variable called a control variable. Since a control variable is expected to influence the relationship between the independent and dependent variables, we wish to control its effects in the analysis of the data so that we can examine only the relationship between the independent and dependent variables.
