A rapping witch? Charming princes who woo not one, but several fair maidens? A Little Red Ridinghood ostentatiously displaying the wolf-stole she tailored out of the animal that previously devoured her? A Cinderella who isn’t all that certain she actually wants to live in the palace? An enchanted forest where the good characters are just as likely to be rewarded as they are of losing all they hold dear? A fairy tale that does not end with ‘Happily Ever After’, but with a plea for considering others and an affirmation of community values?
