ABSTRACT
As we mentioned in the introduction, the results of the original pilot study in Craigmillar demonstrated that a very high proportion of young people had been the victims of offences against the person and of harassment, both by young people and by adults, in public places. Furthermore they suggested that criminal victimisation is a part of young people’s lives which remains largely hidden from the adult world, that is both from parents and from the police.
