ABSTRACT
One of the key tasks for any manager, and one of the most important determinants of success is to manage resources. If you are new in management, this responsibility is likely to be much more significant for you than previously. In the past, you will probably have had some control over spending your time, and delivering your own skill. Now your responsibility will include all staff — their skills and time together — also the buildings they occupy and possibly the resources of local people and groups with whom you work.
