ABSTRACT

Scenario: Your district adopts a new math textbook and related resources. This new program has many prompts and activities written for a teacher-centered classroom. The approach contradicts what your teachers have been learning about designing more student-driven classrooms. They continue to implement the Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classroom (LATIC) framework, however, they are now blocking out times on the activity list for whole-group math instruction that focuses on a teacher-led lesson, guided practice, independent practice approach.
