ABSTRACT
This appendix gives some details of the age, schooling, and social and academic background of the 594 graduates in the graduate interview sub-sample and the 206 graduates in the case studies sub-sample. This information is taken from replies to the Graduate Employment questionnaire (reproduced as Appendix B to that report) with one exception. A question on the main occupation of the graduate’s father or guardian was put in the course of the present study. It was asked at the end of the series of questions to graduates, lest, if it were to cause any embarrassment, it might prejudice the results of the interview, (It was on this account that it was not included in the questionnaire sent by post to the graduates in the main sample.)
