ABSTRACT
High-quality music teaching involves careful planning for music learning as well as a systematic assessment of what students have learned. Learning and evaluating plans are often stated in the form of goals and objectives. Once they have been prepared, instruction can be planned and educational processes/products assessed. Student learning should be assessed using methods that are reliable, valid, and performance-based.
