ABSTRACT
Explanation is an extraordinarily complicated topic. An adequate discussion today must spill over from the traditional fields of philosophical logic and metaphysics into philosophy of science and elsewhere. I hope, however, to be able to bring out the salient points relevant to freewill, even though there are many questions to which I do not know the answer.
