ABSTRACT
This chapter draws together the main contributions of our study of the Aged Temporary Housing Area protest. In section 9.1, we present an overview of the contributions of each chapter, summarize our answers to the four questions we posed in Chapter 2, and highlight the evolution of the protest over time. Section 9.2 will discuss the theoretical implications of our analysis, with a personal note about our reflections on our methodology and the extent to which we achieved the original aims of this study. We also suggest an agenda for future research in the field of urban movements. Section 9.3 is a more speculative discussion about the future of ATHAs within Hong Kong and Chinese housing policy, the future of urban movements and the position of external organizers.
