ABSTRACT
For multiple reasons, mankind has yet to resolve the problem of workplace aggression. Mistreatment in the workplace dates back centuries and no workplace is immune. Pearson and Porath (2009) stated that “incivility is pervasive and growing” (p. 29). Namie and Namie (2011) labeled workplace bullying “a hidden epidemic.” Perhaps that is because humans socialize for bullying in all of their social systems beginning with the most fundamental, the family.
