ABSTRACT
This qualitative study was designed to investigate how PMIs experience probation in light of their interactions with their probation officers. The findings presented in Chapter 3 and 4, as evidenced from interview data and observations, revealed the complexity of the interpersonal relationships between PMIs and their probation officers within the context of both court-mandated requirements and varied community-based services.
