ABSTRACT
Whilst recognising the importance of the individuality of all teaching and school staff, it is nevertheless important that they all 'buy into' the school ethos or, to put it another way, 'sing from the same song sheet'. It is vital that staff deliver the same message so that students know exactly what they have to do in any given situation. This approach is no different from the corporate 'house style' approach where staff are instructed in how they respond to the outside world so that customers have one consistent image of the company.
