ABSTRACT
It is a mistake to imagine that what may appear to be an informal, unstructured, creative drama session needs no pre-planned framework. The most successful sessions are those which have a beginning, a middle and an end; which are kept to a pre-arranged time; and in which the leader maintains an imperceptible yet confident ‘steadying hand’ on the way group activities evolve.
