ABSTRACT
I had the great pleasure of collaborating with the legendary conductor Sir Charles Mackerras in a production of Berlioz’s L’enfance du Christ in Carnegie Hall. What I remember most about him was the ease with which he put all the elements of this complex piece together during rehearsals. He was always centered, calm, and professional in every way.
