Learners with Dyscalculia need processes to be broken down into ‘small chunks’ so that they can succeed. Teach and remind them as they are working to encourage a graduated approach to solving problems, which includes showing all working out. Adjust the number of problems they are expected to solve in a given time, as this will give them more time to solve each problem using the graduated approach you have taught them and will reduce anxiety and stress.
