ABSTRACT
We often assume that writing tasks should be completed by learners on their own, meaning that many learners rarely see another person’s writing or get access to their thought process as they write. Paired or small group writing can therefore be a very powerful way of developing learners’ understanding of the topic at hand and of how this might be represented in writing. Giving out roles and rotating these at intervals means that nobody gets sidelined or is able to be overly dominant!
