ABSTRACT
The nuclear power industry in China is completely dominated by the state. However, the national policymakers encountered a great deal of difficul-ties in enforcing national policies. The state-owned nuclear corporations have in many cases resisted national policies for their corporate interests. China is leading the global nuclear renaissance by building more nuclear power plants than anywhere else. Whether China will really need that much electricity is however increasingly questioned after the 2014 economic slowdown.
