ABSTRACT
it was said earlier that one of the principal reasons for the segregation of industries into separate zones was the nuisance which they were liable to cause to their neighbours. The nuisance might take many forms such as noise, smell, dust, flies and vermin, untidiness, atmospheric pollution and river pollution. Very few industries cause a nuisance on more than two or three of these counts, and many cause no nuisance at all.
