ABSTRACT
Performance Management is fundamentally about making decisions based on the analysis of outcomes and process measures, and much of this analysis is statistical in nature. As noted in Chapter 9 (Reporting), even when the task of statistical manipulation for charting purposes is performed automatically, the end user has to have an appreciation for how to interpret the charts. This chapter provides a review of data types and statistical methods relevant to performance indicator development and analysis.
