ABSTRACT
It is not the purpose of this book to produce a definitive reference manual of the transfer of all drugs into breastmilk. The aim is to link an understanding of the health implications of lack of breastmilk, the mechanism of breastfeeding and general information on the safety of drugs in breastmilk into one accessible volume for healthcare professionals, volunteers and mothers.
