ABSTRACT
The chapters in this section challenge any notion we might have that Caribbean religions are local, static, and bounded phenomena. The authors are all experienced field workers and ethnographers with decades of research between them. Instead, the authors treat us to several case studies which demonstrate how an ongoing and dynamic cultural dialogue in the Caribbean and elsewhere contributes to the evolution of the area's religions.
