ABSTRACT
Apraxia is a difficulty also experienced by many other children with profound and multiple learning difficulties. It has been described by Sacks (1985) as ‘motor bewilderment’, and by Williams (1988), as ‘an inability to carry out voluntary purposeful movements when there is no paralysis or defect of muscular co-ordination’.
