ABSTRACT

IBN SINA (Abii 'Ali al-I:Iusayn ibn 'Abdallah ibn Sina, 980-1037), Islamic philosopher, scientist, and physician, known in the West as Avicenna and in the East sometimes as Bii 'Ali (the son of 'Ali) and also as al-Shaykh al-Ra'is (the foremost among the wise).
