ABSTRACT
As a matter of fact the natives put up a little stick in this magic which they call kaydabala. At the same time the rite refers to the foliage which is also called kaydabala. Probably the stick symbolises the foliage and we have here a magical pun (cr. Ch. IV, Sec. 2).
