ABSTRACT
With the end of differentiation and analysis of the material comes also an end to the detailed way of discussion. The integration in this chapter will be attempted in as broad and general strokes as possible. But this integration-in the form of a structural outline-does not stand altogether on its own, since it presupposes having gone through the experience of the previous chapter. Without that confrontation with the pandemonium of theory, the freely presented, generalized and a priori approach would seem high-handed. It would be hard to see the inter-relation of the material and the categories; whereas after going through all the hypotheses it becomes clear how wellsuited our method is to the material. The reader who skips the bulk of the book in order to get to the conclusion will have missed far more than he gains.
