ThischapterisabouthowtheBuildingaBetterBehavedSchool(BABBS) (Galvinetat.1990)materialsweredevelopedandthelessonswehave learnedfromourworkinschoolsintheUK.Thechapterwilldescribethe researchbackgroundtothematerials;thecontentsofBABBS;howthe" materialswereusedasthebasisofthePositiveBehaviourProjectinLeeds; thephilosophyofthisproject;themannerinwhichtheprojectoperatedin schools;therecommendationstoschoolswhichresultedfromourwork; theevaluationweconductedonourworkwithschoolsandtheissuesraised bythisevaluation;andourworkgenerallyasasupportandchangeagency workingwithawholeschooltopromotebetterbehaviour.
