ABSTRACT
The chapter presents the neoliberal paradigm as an overall umbrella for the book and analyses and defines the key concepts of soft power, development aid, public diplomacy and developmental diplomacy; the interlinks between these concepts are also presented based on existing theoretical and empirical sources.
