The chapter pulls together the main elements of the book and looks to emphasise the main themes of the book – recognising that inventory is something that connects everyone in the organisation and that paying attention to detail can, and will, help an organisation develop a much better understanding of their processes whilst improving control at the same time. New approaches have been devised with a purchasing strategy designed to directly connect to an organisation’s overall strategy, channel gap analysis, the error containment ring and tools alluded to such as project data analysis.
