ABSTRACT

As musicians, we love what we do. When others go to work, we go to play. We get together with friends and engage in that oh so human activity, musicking. But that love and enjoyment and passion and camaraderie at a rehearsal can easily come unstuck, and you end up sitting around chilling, listening to music, having a few beers, and then doing a half hour’s rehearsal getting nowhere. When you get together in a group to prepare for a musical performance, you need to remain focussed and collectively work as efficiently as you can.
