ABSTRACT

In this chapter i deal with the age of sexual consent. This topic, like the crime of rape to be discussed in the next chapter, displays features which go beyond the terms of the Principles of Consensuality and Dissent. The worry to be addressed is that the Principles of Consensuality and Dis-sent do not provide a comprehensive moral evaluation of all the aspects of these cases. My concern is to make clearer what these principles do and do not commit us to saying in each of these instances, and to do so by a careful disentangling of issues.
