ABSTRACT
In this section we turn to explore the nature of Freud’s ideas associated with the second arm of the fulcrum of diagnosis—the mechanisms of the neuroses in general. As we know, he became concerned with the question as to whether different nosological cat egories have different mechanisms of splitting.
