ABSTRACT
The preceding chapter concerned the historical level. In Chapter Three, in connection with Bowlby’s ethological viewpoint, a discontinuity between prehistory and history was presented, due to the advent of agriculture. In this chapter, a more radical discontinuity will be discussed, that between primitive and advanced agriculture.
