ABSTRACT

There are a number of sources of information, mainly self-help books and websites on the Internet, most of which which give reasonable value and through which you can discover more information about mental health for yourself. Most of the websites have a search function, so specific medical conditions are quite easily found. You can also do a general search of the whole web, but this is likely to bring up a large number of very different sites. Some of these will be commercial sites, trying to sell you something. Please do not pay a lot of attention to these: if it is good for you, your doctor will probably know about it: if it is not, you should not even think of taking or using it. Do not take anything without consulting your doctor. Drugs or treatments purchased over the Internet are not guaranteed to be right for you: they can also incur customs duty, and may also be of dubious quality or efficacy.
