ABSTRACT

When it comes to evaluating Abraham’s literary output, the short space of time he had to develop his scientific creativity cannot be overlooked, his analytic studies spanning a mere seventeen years from 1907 to 1924. Although he attentively followed the path his Viennese professor had marked out, ever since he had known Freud his own original and independent thought never failed to come through. Thanks to his keen clinical observation, right from the start he examined with utmost thoroughness those areas of great importance to Freud.
