ABSTRACT

Nihon Keibi Hosho’s growth necessitated expansion of its management component. In order to implement his vision for the company’s development Iida needed personnel capable of accomplishing his strategic objectives. There was a limit to what Iida and Toda could accomplish on their own. While the company had many committed individuals willing to devote themselves wholeheartedly to immediate planning and accomplishment, it lacked those who could participate in formulating and achieving general business directions within Iida’s grand design for the corporate mission. Iida needed to develop committed executives who could work with him towards the implementation of his vision.
