[Charles Lamb’s Criticism]

The manuscript belongs to the Berg collection, unnumbered. It consists of two pages in De Quincey’s hand. The second page is damaged at the top and has several watermarks. Since De Quincey’s ‘Recollections of Charles Lamb’ appeared in 1838, a date of composition early in that year seems likely.
