ABSTRACT
WOODVILLE raised his eyes as the landlord approached him, and as suddenly quitted his seat to pursue his lonesome journey. The close of day had brought with it such refreshing gales, that his feverish cheek no longer dried the tear which fell upon it. The landlord looked earnestly at Woodville – ‘Will you take a draught of something to refresh you?’ said he, smiling, with rather a compassionating than a chearful countenance.
