ABSTRACT
THE attention and amazement with which the following Speech was received in the House of Commons, can only convey an adequate idea of the manner in which it was delivered. And that not one of the numerous arguments with which it abounds was answered by any member who opposed the Catholic Bill, altho’ the debate continued for nine hours after it was delivered, is the best criterion of its matter.
